Chocolate Dreams from Sweetly Raw

December 11th, 2012 · Lisa · book review, product review, Review · Comments

These days everyone is talking about the gifts that come from the North Pole. But I have my heart set on the confections being crafted every so slightly south of Santa’s workshop. In northern Ontario, without the help of magical elves, Heathy is crafting the most heavenly raw, vegan treats. Luckily for all of us in North America, during the holiday season, we can order packages of Heathy’s divine delights for delivery!

I’ve tried Heathy’s Caramel Pecan Choccie Clusters, reminiscent of my favourite Christmas sweet, the turtle. This version fills each bite with high quality ingredients and beautifully balanced flavours. The sweet caramel centre, the crunchy pecans and the smooth cacao coating satisfies all my dessert requirements. Absolutely phenomenal,

Heathy has created a delicious twist on another traditional favourite with her Jumbo Almond Butter Cups. A thin chocolate coating enrobes a creamy, almond butter centre. The flavours are bold and brilliant and wow…you might have to sit down to enjoy this. You may forget where you are as you sit there with your eyes closed savouring each bite.

These two treats are just a sample of what Heathy has for sale. I strongly suggest, you take a peak and order yourself (or someone you love) something sweet.

If you’re more a chocolate-on-demand kind of person, Heathy has created a Raw Chocolate Dreams eBook that can keep your kitchen churning out a steady supply of incredible desserts.

With lots of parties on the horizon, I’ve been busy rolling and dipping many tasty morsels from this beautiful book.

The book provides some great staple recipes for any chocolatier, including a lovely chocolate coating that stays firm at room temperature.

Create a centre using her Peanut Butter Balls recipe and you’ve got yourself a pretty sensational eating experience.

Heathy’s raw Cake Pops (shown here sans sticks) are the kind of treat I’d actually share with the people I love, especially those little ones. Instead of being filled with frosting and flour, these treats (like all of Heathy’s) are created using healthful ingredients. Almonds and raisins might be your child’s idea of trail mix but Heathy can show you how to transform these staples into a sensational dessert.
I’ve also tried Heathy’s Caramel Peanut Chocolate Bars (aka Snickers bars). Wow. Decadent. Delicious. Delightful.

They are incredible! I think these have made the cut for my upcoming holiday potluck parties. I want to be the girl who shows up with a tray of raw snickers bars, don’t you?

If you do…grab a copy of Heathy’s book and get crafting.

Speaking of eBooks, I did want to thank everyone for their support of Tiny Treats. From readers like you, Nicole and I have raised enough money to feed almost 12 elephants for the next year. If you don’t have a copy yet, check out this amazing review of Vibrant Wellness Blog and think about making 2013 very happy for a hungry herd.

p.s. Some of you notice my blog was down for a couple of days again. I’ve had problems with hackers lately. I am hoping that I’ve done what I needed to ensure I can keep bringing you recipes and prose on the regular.

I can’t compete with your words – what a wonderful team we would make if you wrote the post and I took some pictures. I think we were meant to be roommates so collaborations such as this would be possible. xo
