December Treat of the Month

December 19th, 2012 · Lisa · Fun with Friends · Comments

With December here, Nicole and I are bidding farewell to our regular Treat of the Month Club as we fill up our to-do lists with exciting new projects for 2013. We have been overjoyed with the response to our monthly sweets over the last nine months and particularly the connections we made with new and old friends in Toronto’s vegan community. There really is nothing more rewarding than sharing homemade food with others and celebrating the deliciousness of a plant-based diet.

Last Sunday, we packed up the final selection of vegan treats to hand out to our club members.

This month, Nicole and I shared:

  • Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Caramel Peanut Chocolate Bars (from Heather Pace’s Raw Chocolate Dream ebook)
  • Amaretti Cookies
  • Chocolate Turtles
  • Peppermint Macaroons (recipe coming up on the blog)
  • Maca Blondie Balls (also from Heather’s ebook)

Don’t be sad if you missed out on our monthly treat packages. We have good news to share.

In 2013, we will be creating special celebration packages only available for special holidays. The first one will be available for Valentine’s Day! Stay tuned for more details early next month.

Thank you all for your support and appreciation of our Treat of the Month Club and also our Tiny Treats ebook. These were our two biggest projects of 2012 and we cannot thank you enough for supporting our work. Because of readers like you, Nicole and I have raised enough money from the ebook fundraiser to help feed 13 elephants at Elephant Nature Park for the next year.

If you don’t have a copy yet, we’ve shared one of the most talked-about recipes from the ebook, the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bites, on You can find it here.

Seasons Greetings!

Lisa, Happy New Year! Somehow my Google Reader stopped delivering your posts but just re-subscribed. Sounds like you have a wonderful 2013 planned. Congrats! Wishing you only more good things to come.

Looking forward to getting together in the new year and hearing all about it in person! xo
