TGIFT – Thank Goodness It’s Frappuccino Time!
That’s right, here we are again, raising a frosty glass of creamy goodness and greeting another sweltering summer weekend.
So far this season, we’ve shared our recipes for Hazelnut, Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulee and Java Chip Frappuccinos. This week, I’m departing from the usual coffee-based concoctions for some amazing, matcha magic.
Now I should admit, this recipe took a little more effort for me than the other mocha variations. Matcha has a very unique bright and bitter flavour profile that I had to play with a little to perfect the pairing…but I think I got it.
There were other matcha frappuccinos, tried and tested this week, some with coconut milk whipped cream, dried ginger and cashew cream ice cubes – but none of them could rival this thick, sweet, creamy version I fell in love with on my first sip
I know without the layers of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle it may not seem as decadent or fancy as other frappuccinos on the menu. But don’t let the simplicity fool you, this is one rich, flavourful, frapp! Together, the cashew cream, matcha and candied ginger is a dream.
